Found a site which claims to have live CNN streaming links, as well as quite a few other channels, including radio... http://linkme.mcommunity.biz

Nice try, novel idea and yet again good collaboration between these two established companies, but no (w800i) cigar...

That said... I'd be the first to admit that no other phone currently available beats the Moto ROKR's interface. It displays iTunes artwork and just look and feels like a pro MP3 player. The stereo speakers also leave no comparison - and yes... I still use the W800i

Caught a news snippet on one of the foreign broadcasters, think it's Radio Netherlands, where they reported that Americans are swarming after the ROKR, apparently it's available right now from Cingular.

...with its integrated FM radio with RDS as well, which the ROKR lacks too. Maybe not a train-smash,and we know the whole ROKR focus is iTunes/mp3,but a lot of overland commuters here in London are tuned into their fave station regularly on their daily trek to work, using a myriad of different FM-equipped cellphones.
I guess the whole, pure mp3 experience, if the ROKR's stereo speakers indeed have no competition, would thus be better with this Motorola handset?
I couldn't give a monkey's (sorry..) about iTunes graphics, but for the Wanqsta's purposes and impromptu photography when out on the town,a 2mp camera is much preferred,as on the W800i.
Horses for courses,I guess.
Perhaps its unfair for me to just compare and judge on specs alone, without trying out the ROKR first next week, but it's kinda hard not to...

Greetings and welcome,Bennie!
As brix has already mentioned,a lot of your esato countrymen kept this forum alive when it was still in its infancy, before more of us gradually discovered its existence and took the pro-active plunge.
I will have to start polishing up on my Yoruba soon, our neighbours in London are originally from Nigeria and Papa Wemba is often a conversation point.
Thanks for all the good wishes.
