max_wedge, my R1AA008 f/w also shows Centre-Weight Average in the EXIF info.
however, just wanna check with ya if there's a big difference between the latest f/w and the R1AA008 (which i presume is the one u upgraded from).
thanks man!
here's a low-light picture of my brother gaming on his rig. also, no noise in the corners when there is a bright object (in this case, the monitor) in the shot.

yeah mate R1BC fixes the invalid parameter bug when using cable to transfer files from the phone to the computer. I was on R1L002, so finally have all the improvements from R1N and on, but without any serious transfer bugs.
The centre weighted improvement was brought in on R1N or R1AA (not sure which).

Me too, i sold it to a friend who had it a month and then lost the damn thing. So, anyone could have my little baby now..
@ max_wedge - i love those cityscape pictures, refreshing after seeing so many car / flower / boring keyboard macros.

hehe! Yes it get's a bit that way. Thanks for the positive feedback.
I was out riding and light was fading, so I thought it a good chance to test the new centre average metering I've got now that I'm past R1L firmware. It makes a huge difference.
