@Aya: I think its a good idea to offer some sort of training for techie wannabes like us. I'd sign up if I could make out the time. I've finaly ditched my MTN sim. Couldn't cope with the frustration. @Kryptic: would that IP address make any difference? The problem most of us face with MTN is a loss (or total absence) of GPRS signal.

@Bennie: My-Symbian should be your first port of call. I also have 2 pages of links to sites with downloads and relevant info on GoSmartmobile. Check under "More Resources".

Hmn... Everyone thinks its a great idea Bennie's suggestion. Next question: How much would you be willing to pay for such services?

Well, I have a full GPRS signal on MTN 24/7, yet cannot get an active connection. This is hilarious, but I have actually configured my laptop to redial 300 times - and, wait for it, I still could not get a connection all day yesterday and all morning today. 300 connection attempts!

I'm Gloing away at the moment. Costs me money, but I can get on with life, at least.

I also hav full gprs over here. The problem is in linkg up.I think it is poor planng on MTN's part 2 allow all ther 6m subs on gprs at d same time. When Glo launched gprs they made it clear tht only 70k subs 'ld initially b gprs activatd. This message was posted from a Nokia

@Ihe: Its the same old fire brigade thing MTN is becoming well known for. Happened with PSB; now being repeated with GPRS. This message was posted from a Nokia

@Aya,it goes a long way 2 expose the fact tht they never intended to introduce these services. If not 4 d advent of Glo we 'ld still be charged on per minute 2day. This message was posted from a Nokia

I don't see anything wrong in Mtn's activating all its subs,i think all they r tryin to do is help educate most nigerians that there is more to mobile phones than just callin and takin photos you can't do jack wit. If they don't do it like this and make people yearn for the fullest services 2.5g can bring nobody is gonna sign up for 3g. The wahala glo even gives new subscriber willin to activate sef too much. 2tek: I dont have a problem with MTN activating all its subscribers. What I have problems with is the fact that they obviously do not have the capacity to ensure that the platform delivers. What's the point now that no-one seems to be able to use it?

MMS; not working. WAP; no show. Web; babu.

Patience guys! Patience! Or take the bold step, throw away your MTN sim! I sold mine to my company and am fully back to GLO.
