SE UK told me yessterday that a new firmware has just been issued to address the MS Duo corruption on the W800i, so if they mean R1AA008, then hopefully it does fix the Duo corruption.

Why are SE using the firmware code R1AA008?

From what i understand so far, no-one has confirmed otherwise that this isn't just a Vodafone specific firmware? So i think this could be a voda firmware and may/may not be released for unbranded phones? Voda have previously released firmware R1C before that wasnt release for unbranded K750's. Please correct me if im wrong however, as i could have missed something somewhere

Other versions might not got through DEV.
Prolly they were only "inside" versions that did not pass their tests.

Soft versions usually have this format:

AA.BB.CC.DD

AA - Major Version
BB - Minor Version
CC - Release
DD - Build

Builds are tipically internal only, they are not released to the public.
But anyway, each dev company might use their own versioning system.
