Yes What gtel is doin is not fair... We all pay the same money and yet most of us here arent able to access Edge.
Guys do u know if bsnl offers edge. I know bsnl upgraded its broadband bandwidth to 2MBps, but any good news on mobile front?
The nearest bsnl tower to my place doesnt even offer gprs... so i guess it will take ages to see bsnl edge at my place

U r right dude. I can only get 5 KBps while G is displayed.
Any NOP users from south here? Pls tell me if gtel is charging for data. Till now, i am not charged for NOP. These days, NOP is tooooo slow. Live works better and faster for me.

dude i was talkin abt my nokia 6630 and old s40 1st and 2nd edition edge phones such as 6230,6020...... even some of the symbian os nokia n series phones dont have this functionality......
dont have much idea abt the newely released nokia phones such as s40 3rd editions .....havent used any.........
regarding ftd network monitor........... i have been sucessfully able to select an edge signal using this app many months back..... not only me but even many of my friends using 66/30,80,81 have been enjoying edge services through this method.........
the main reason why its sole developer stopped releasing this app for newer models is that this app has gone through serious copyright issues........ and the licensing has been withdrawn due to misuse....... lots of other functions have been removed in the year 2005........
i know its a piece of cake for symbian programmers to port this app to the nseries or to any other s60 phone....... i am not much into the programming side........... so i hope there can be someone who can help us...............

bt the sad part is dat sites dnt open up easily n gvs request failed most the tyme.

Due to the removal of HTTP Filter firewall, the LIVE server has become too busy. So most of the time, I get time-out error. But as the firewall is absent, you don't need any tricks to access Internet. Just connect and try.

Does anyone have any information about enabling Netmonitor on Nokia 6020? I'll be glad if it works on 6020 so that I can eat 50% of ice-cream.
another thing, does 6020 shows "E" symbol on reception of EGPRS signals?

guys, today i call the cc to activate MO, but they said MO on update, so activate it after tueseday. so airtel do somthing on MO and Live.
one more thing i am posting this on free L*** gprs.
