Hi, my first post. Actually, Im a forum regular since my P800 days, but all my questions got answered even after I make the question!!! Anyway, Im in Mexico and I got the w800 last wednesday. I updated the Thursday after reading all the stuff on this post. I got the R1N035 firmware...hoping to get the R1NA005. Is this related to the zone my mobile is locked for? After reading all the 200+ posts I really don't get if the 005 firmware is for some brands only or what. So far, I got no problems with the 035, but the "improvement on battery life" seems like a must of 005.
Also, I read that R1NA005 is buggy and actually worst than previous updates, so....did I got the right firmware or should I try my best to get the 005 firmware?

To Xboxed :
well i havenīt noticed any differences/improvements with the R1NA005. But we all seem to have different experiences with the newer firmwares. If you have a phone that arenīt tied to any specific operator you can upgrade to R1NA005(donīīt know if you can do that in any other case). Isnīt it avaliable on SE:s SEUS?

How long does it typically take for official fw releases to reflect in davinci?
After reading the directions (do I ever do that?), am I just supposed to hit-n-miss on whether its DTR, RTS, both, or none?

I see...mine is tied to Movistar here. Maybe that's the reason. Well, I guess Im sticking to that for now. 10X Fullforce.

Hi to you!
The best thing are if you could get a hold of a W800i that has the early firmware R1L002 since the later firmwares are wery "buggy". But i doubt that there are any phones left in the stores that have the old firmware. A tip if you are dying to get a W800i (that is a supercool, functional phone when it runs on a WORKING fimrware) is that you wait and see what people here say abot the new firmware when it gets out for all phones (branded and unbranded and everything). If the new firmware is any good, wich i sadly doubt, you can just upgrade to it through SE:s SEUS if you buy a phone that doesnīt have R1L002 firmware. Otherwise if you buy one with the newer crappier firmware and this "newest" firmware thatīs comming out also is crappy, you just have to live with the issues with the newer firmware and wait/hope for SE to come out with yet another firmware, after this one, that will work.
I should ad that there are people that arenīt experiensing any problems with their newer firmwares. But there are MANY of us that do have issues with it!
If you have a firmware that you are happy with you shuóuldnīt upgrade just to "test" it. Wait and let others do it and give their review! Thatīs my advice!
