I'm #4 on the preorder list at Official SE store here in Taipei, Taiwan. They just told me that P990i will be released during the 1st week of August. That specific store will be getting only 18 units initially, so for sure I will be getting mine since I'm #4 on the list! I've put a down payment of $100 US, the retail price is around $800 US dollars after tax. So for sure, the phone is not further delayed until Sept., I'll keep you guys posted.

sorry to go off (release date) topic but i do have one reservation about the P990i, ive come to get used to using magic profiles with my P900 (the automatic profile change using cell ids is GREAT) does the P990i use profiles for ringtones etc... and if not are we expecting any software ala magic profiles that will do that?!?!?!

cheers for that. Damn i hope those prices are lower at christmas, my w550 was a free upgrade. Maybe ill have to get a p910i on ebay and wait till next year for a p990 lol

If its cheaper on a new contract, then i'll just cancel the current one and get my pac code and do it that way...

the p990 will be cheap 2month after its out ....why ?becoz everybody will be selling it. ill probably buy mine in 3-5month after its released when all the stability issues are sorted out and probably when i know the specs on the next version

Nothing is cheap around Christmas, wait till the January sales I am sure combining network promotions with in-shop promotions will be the way to get a good deal.
