Hm..what bug? Operation failed bug? I have never encountered such a thing. Since it's now Java version 7.3, more stability is achieved. Besides, if you update to R1JC002 via Wotan, you re-install the f/w totally, unlike SEUS that only replaces the flaws with newer files. Personally I recommend that you perform a flash via Wotan.

i am asking about this because i had the opperation failled bug(now all better) and wanted to know if the new FW actually fixed this

Just got my O2 K800 back from SE following repair and the software has gone from unbranded to branded (R1ED001) with both middle and top left hand buttons plus the internet key all going to the 02 home page!! Tried to update with the SE site but same software.
Is there anything I can do?

Wotan requires PayPal, 7 Euro for each full-flash of the firmware. All data will be lost, and you need good intnet connection speed as the file to be downloaded is at least 30 MB for main file and 20 MB for FS. As the new f/w is uploaded, you have a as if brand-new phone just like the 1st time you bought it.
SEUS only updates files that needed to be updated. So, no data is lost. But, sometimes it needs a long wait. So, be patient for a free way..
FOTA? It's not reliable at all I think. Mine always says 'yours is the latest' anytime I try. Other people managed to update via FOTA, but not me. Don't know why. The file is just around 3-4 MB, so prepare some extra credits..
Other ways are simply:
-visiting SE Service Centre. Don't hope much as newer f/w is rarely available.
-ask someone with Cruiser or SEtool standalone box to update yours offline. But, it's not recommended as many here in Indonesia, the tools used are hacked version which block the phone from future SEUS update. In my town, Malang, I know someone with this service if you want, only for 50k..but it's the hacked one. He has the Speedy net to download which f/w you want.
BTW, are you in Surabaya, Indonesia right?

I'm afraid you need a full-flash of f/w rather than just update it via SEUS. Operation Failed bug is likely due to f/w corruption--in Java system. AFAIK. You'd better go to SESC for free full flash.
