gotta stop leaving blank posts... in work tonight... all night... so expect plenty of my usual random drivel...

Ain't it great when someone seems to pm you at total random, askin you for some help, you go out of your way to find what it is they're lookin for, you mail it them.... and they just log off without as much as a thank you!

Marga does that happen to you much?(after all you are like the theme queen)

OK Bri, welcome to the 'ever-exciting' UK thread then. Oude jenever definitely is not my drink........ except when being the only waitress on frat-parties.... then it helps

Does what happen? Getting a 'no' for using images? Of course. Big companies (like say Pepsi) don't often mind a bit of free advertising, but when your talking paintings or art work... it's becoming a delicate matter as there is nothing to gain directly for the artist. Some don't mind, some do. Some never answer, in which case I go ahead and mail theme where to find it (should they desire to take action) and sometimes I end up with images and no idea where they came from in which case I act like I'm stupid and just make the theme anyway

Mind you... when i started off it never occurred to me that asking permission was the polite way to go
Only after I saw my own themes stolen by some I realised how it felt...... so now I know better

[edit] curse my lousy spelling

Marga... I was actually on about people pestering you for something(a theme or just some help) and as soon as you've done what they've asked they just log off without a thankyou or anything! It's happened to me twice this week! I got pm'd by users i didn't know helped them anyway and then they just furked off! Makes you wonder bout helpin people in the future... Thought maybe people sometimes request a theme or summat then they just take it and leave... With out a thank you...

I gotta say that rarely happens. of course with a theme I usually post a preview first so if they want things changed they'll need to communicate with me
It's happened occassionally but not very often.
Of course there's those and there's the ones that want your home address so they can send some token of their gratitude, which is a bit too far to the other side imho
