tested the 5.5b driver, it's a bit blue-ish and dark, will stick with 2.441..

@aksd : hope you didn't skip this one, can you adjust the contrast in 2.441 or maybe the next-gen esato camera driver, as i use 2.441 much on indoor area, and the indoor pic is quite under-exposed, it's a bit annoying that i have to set the exposure higher everytime i'm going to take some pic...thanks

I have had no crashing with the 2.441 driver, I doubt your crashing problems are due solely to the 2.441 driver.

Yesterday I tested 3.1nc by e_erzan and my phone crashed several times. I didn't have such problems with k750 firmware, but I flashed to w800 and the camera started acting strange. In addition to crashing, it failed to take a picture a few times. And everytime I close the camera lid, I get a message saying "Voice commands not recorded, please record..." or "Say name after the tone".
Do you have any idea why? Maybe some buffer size problems?
Now I'm testing 2.441 and I haven't had problems yet, but I'll test more.

For different firmware must be different camera drivers.
First, because in power save mode exist some difference.

Second, in last firmware for K750 was added such macros as GET_SENSOR_VERSION, because in new Clara phones with CID 49 mounted other camera module. While I don't know for what.

Ñamdriver based on version 5.3 will be right for R1ÑÀ021/R1DB001 firmware.
Camdriver based on version 4.5 will be right for R1N035/R1AA008/R1BC002 firmware and some early

I tested it on our forums. All peoples were agree with me, and I started dividing camdrivers for different firmware.
There are no more crashes.

I've been testing the deiferent Hibryd Camdrivers, then tried 5.3 and 4.5 versions and found that the 4.5 original is the best you can use, the hybrid camdrivers need more control in Sharpness and Exposition. The firmware I use is R1BD001 and 4.5 driver works better than the Hybrid, so you must work as hard as possible to reach the perfection!
