Someone said that you can upgrade EROM without buying credit. Just press START, then directly press 2 and 5 simultaneously and Wotan updates your EROM for free. It may worth a try as I don't know whether it's true or not.

Well here are some little facts about the K800i (R1GB001). Some days ago I wrote about the inabitity of it to play wmv though, it is supposed to be able to, according to the phone "white paper". Now I've discovered that it can't play Real audio and video files too, though it is supposed to play them too. The phone does recognise the files' format but it just doesn't play the video, and the audio files (ra) make an awful sound like screaming rats or somethin'!
It doesn't matter so much to me the fact that they can't be played (I don't use these formats too often), but I hate it when I PAY to buy something that is SUPPOSED to do something, and I find out that I had been FOOLED!
Another bug that I found is that when I write big files in the phone's memory or the MS, after deleting them and checking the memory status, the free memory is like I haven't deleted them! Only after restarting the phone the free memory is right.
Another thing that bothers me, is that when I connect the phone in hard drive mode, the recognised capacity of the phone is that of its internal memory and not of the MS! What am I supposed to do with a ~64MB hard disk?
Do all these happen only to my phone or is it to other's too. Please let me know. Is this fixed in R1JC002?
(By the way when the F**K will the JC be available in SEUS?

Answer: Has it occurred to you that maybe the bit rate is too high for the player. This is a common problem that has been discussed here several times.

What do you consider a big file? You only have so much capacity. What kind of computer are you using. This is common with Macs as they write Finder data, or file storage data to the disk in the form of hidden files. Once these files are deleted the normal storage capacity comes back.
You seem to have some sort of "issue" period. As for knowing when JC will be available, why not write SE, the answer you get from them will be as good as any you get here.

I've already thought that. I' ve tried a big range of bitrates (16-383kbps) in both ra and rv but the problem remains.
When I say big files I mean more than 2MB, and I use WinXP SP2.
What do you mean by "issue period"?
