and i thought Sony was trying to avoid copying device. They look the same to me. Small differences basically on screen pixel ratio, and size. There are no more small devices, just acceptable size low ends and huge higher speced ones. I remember sonyericsson was talking about innovation, well i'm not excited about anything. A few years ago i couldn't wait to see future phones and the choice was easier, because it was obvious which device was the flagship. Now i want one feature of that device and other feature of another model and another from another. The last phone Sony - Sonyericsson made me wanna buy it was Ray, specwise and compact. + beautiful. I do like phones like P now but its too big for my taste.

Sony's still got their small devices. The U is relatively compact, and the Sola's not exactly huge, either.

And if the SX ever makes it out of Japan, then we'll have our Ray successor.

Satio had 3.5inch display and was huge for my taste, even though i've bought it, anyway, i haven't play with a XU yet but sola was the maximum size i would buy, A friends' XS is a small tablet to me, i cant carry such device in my pocket, imagine a 4.6 inch device....

SX, dear. You're thinking of the GX.

SX is really beautiful but i think the upper part from the screen (where the earpiece is) is too big making the phone longer that it should with such screen, but i believe its where the camera sensor is because of its slimness. I think Acro S is the most "complete" of the xperia family.

I agree. The Acro S has everything apart from LTE, which would make it perfect IMO.

If the Ray is anything to go by (the Ray also having larger-than-seemingly-necessary top and bottom bezels), the arrangement of the phone's internals necessitate such a design due to its slimness. It's that or do what Motorola did with the RAZR and make the phone larger on all four sides (instead of just two sides) to accommodate the slimness.

can't wait for a sony tablet refresh...my tablet s is still used everyday but i just want the whole thing to be faster and more efficient. Some things like email refreshes just take ages...A release with the VAIO brand would be spectacular.

Hopefully before the end of the year I can get my ultimate combo of Sony Windows 8 Tablet and Sony 'Mint' phone...if they show a windows 8 tablet in James Bond Skyfall that would be awesome...

Sony to hold a pre-IFA event on August 29 in Berlin

Sony just sent out invitations for a pre-IFA press conference. Anyone with an IFA press accreditation is invited to take a look at the latest Sony Xperia smartphones, which are expected to be announced there.

There will also be an exclusive booth unveiling after the press conference so members of the press will probably be able to spend some quality time with the new smartphones.

Not really. There only a couple of phones left to be announced this year.

Hayabusa
Mint
Mystery device " X "
Xperia SL
one low end model with 4 inch display.

Also LT25c is running Qualcomm S4 krait chipset. Only for China though, CDMA phone according to a trusted Chinese source.
