Dunno if this will help but...
Perhaps one of the "caches" got messed up... go to Home > Library > Caches and backup then delete everything in the folder called com.apple.AddressBook.
If that doesn't help, Quit Address Book, go to Home > Library > Application Support and then drag the folder called AddressBook to your Desktop. Then resync again. If your address database ("AddressBook.data") is corrupted, this may get you a fresh copy...
Its always advisable, every so often, to choose "Back up Address Book" from the "File" menu in Address Book.

Also I have another queery, are they any free samsung syncrosation thinges? I attempted to send all the cards to my new p300 but it only sends one at a time even though all are selected.

Samsung phones are very poorly supported on the Mac - not sure why! I think I read somewhere they lack some of the industry standard syncing protocols most other phones use.
Have you tried dragging all the contacts from Address Book to the desktop to create just one vCard and then send that?

Maybe the phone itself doesn't support multiple contact vCards? Or is there a setting in the phone to change?

Looks like you can only send 1 contact at a time.
