R520 was released before T39.. and for some reason
decided to discontinue the R520 model only 6 month after the first phones was shipped to the stores... T39 was released in june 2001, R520 was released in mars 2001.

I am now owner of R520m (usual). it's still working... wow!
It's my 4'th Ericsson from this family already, started the tour on 17 of July, when I bought brand new R520m. Got T39 as replacement, sold it, bought R520CE, got R520m as replacement
I have no volume button on the side but I guess I can live with it - or buy it
Keep your fingers crossed, that this phone stays alive...

about changing phone - I haven't found better phone. Even new and expencive models - they are just toooo small. I like 520 'cos it's "normal size" not tiny-tiny.
T39 - I'm afraid to use it because of clap (the thing that's always broken). I'm afraid to hold it - if it fells down I have to buy new cover. And it's with small keypad also.
New models are so small. Screen is OK but keypad - I don't want to use two hands to dial a number
And one more thing I don't like - sonyericsson is beginning to be like nokia. They start to focus on stuff for people who want the phone to be a toy for them - games, poly, ...
