I agree with Dogman
I also think that P1i design is a step BACKWARDS compared with P990.
A P-flagship must be still - i terms of DESIGN - a universal device, like previous Pseries and like all Nokia Communicators. P1i is not.
Also, next real P HAVE to have Symbian 9.3 or 9.5, to follow the DEVELOPEMENT of these Pda/phones. HSDPA is a must too...

4no - yep, PeterKay made some reference to that - it's a very useful light that blinks when you've got a message waiting, missed call etc... it's cleverly in the perfect place too, where you'll see it when you have it down on the desk in front of you. IMO this is something the P series has needed since the P800, and is just further evidence of the thought that's gone into this device..

Only problem with that light is it stays on when charging, i use to charge it in my bedroom and when i tried to sleep it got a little irritating. That may change when its released! but thats what happened on the proto i had.

It can be useful as a guide light when you want to connect the fastport on the charger in a place where it's dark or poor light.

Very nice review! But i must say that it has not impressed me. The only thing that realy makes me want a P1i is more ram compared to previous uiq 3.0 phones. In banchmark i saw that P1 in one or two things gets outperformed by a M600 is that a joke or am i blind? I think that 650eur is too much for a phone like this, hope it is not correct though..

I would realy like to see how does P1 perform,.. i want to see multitasking in action. If it performs well and its price will be reasonable i will surely get one!
