nops, there's just no way a cam phone can be compared to real cameras. It wont happen. Atleast SE wont do it, they have to sell their digital cams too(SONY)

Correct again dude.
No offense King but only a person that did not know about photography would think this was possible. Was not meant as a flame. Just the facts. There is no way this camera phone can compete with my Nikon D80. Hell not even my old Sony.

no, thats why they are not increasing the "quality" of the given res. on their phone, both for marketing purpose and the fact that its not actually possible(physical limitations)

You know, idealy 2 or 3mp is the right ammount to get a good quality average size print. Why make megapixels higher? Who is actualy going to use the n95's 5mp camera for all there pictures? All it does is take up memory. If all these companys didnt care about the money, they may stick it to those resolutions. (3mp takes enough memory, almost 1 megabyte for one photo on fine quality!)

Actually it is about physics as well. To increase the megapixel size you have to increase the sensor size as well. Then you get into x pixels vs. x affective pixels, and so on. Dedicated cameras will always beat out camera phones based on just these two facts. I have a great tutorial about the pixels relationships and such. Pretty interesting.

I have had a very good camera phone and one of the very few with the luxury of both an Optical zoom and excellent Video recording but to achieve this it needed to be of a certain size to accomplish these things well. Seeing as i didn't take pictures in dim light i had no problems with the quality of the pictures i took and was more than happy with the results but would never of expected it to compete with dedicated camera even with the same amount of mega pixels.
I am seriously considering getting a K810 for two reasons one is i need a camera phone but not another smart phone as i already am more than happy with my current smart phone. The second reason is i could hold out for the still as yet unannounced K850 or whatever it is eventually called but really don't believe the extra 2 mega pixels will make that much difference and am sure this will be a much more expensive product to. I may of even gone for a T650 if it was already launched or coming real soon.

just imagine what would happen if Cybershot T7(Slimmest Sony Camera) and M600(slimmest SE UIQ) were combined?

For exepmple on that guy wedding was about half a duzen (pro-semi?) photographer's with n mega pixles Nikon's and Canon's but I with my K790i made that picture.
Btw on that picture is bridegroom nailing big nail with a small hammer. It's a kind of a joke. And as seen on the picture metal head just fell off the handle and that's my MOMENT!
I bet none of those pro photographer's caught that and probably I would miss if I had my sister SONY V3.
As far as Sofia concern I miss those two buttons on the top of the screen they are actually quite handy, of course if foto of Sofia is real.

)...However, I still love my K800
