After seeing N95 pic's from the below thread I am convinced the K850 takes better pictures in all conditions.
The N95 photos seem grainy and with more noise than the K850i.
I hope though that the N82 will be the true competitor.

After seeing these K850 pictures taken by SE owners in esato, I am far from convinced that K850 takes better photo than N95, G600 and Viewty.

I can take some bad photos on my DSLR... just because you see some bad pics... doesn't mean the camera is no good.
If you don't want an 850... don't get one
Generally is takes pretty amazing pics for a phone camera. Yes there can be fringing, yes there are compression artefacts, yes there is banding... but the same can be said for all digicams, especially phone based ones with their limited lens size, sensor sensitivity, processing, compression and memory limitations.
At the end of the day its a phone with a class leading camera, not a DSLR with a phone.

Correct, unfortunately
Let's see how the new EXMOR CMOS sensor performs. According to Sony's marketing information, it should be as good as CCD. But then again, when was the last time a commercial company like Sony were truthful about their products' performance? If you'd believe their hype about the K850i, you would throw away your DSLR!

Let's be honest here....... The quality between a 2.0 MP cam phone and a 5.0 MP cam phone is not eye opening at this stage of the game. perhaps in a year or two. However not just yet....
On that note..... I will keep my lovely W810 which serves me well.

for me I prefer sonyericsson camera because it takes the shot with its details not like nokia phone which depends on the strong noise reduction function that erase some of the details in the shot and the vivid color
sonyericsson camera allow me to take completely different pics for the same view in the same condition and angel
as will as edting the pic in photo software
while it is hard to manage nokia's shot in photoshop
on the other hand nokia people love nokia camera because it give sharp vivid color pics without noise

Hey, Mr Party-pooper. Go away if you just want to spoil the fun!
This has been one of the most interesting threads here at Esato so far. Not a typical Nokia vs SE thread where the insults start flying very quickly but instead, for most of the time, the tone has been civilized and people have been trying to trump each other with facts and photo samples. Maybe it's because the typical Nokia and SE fanatics have been staying out from this thread, so far.
