i don't know if this has been raised up already, but nevertheless i will ask this:
Has anyone observed that when an animation is added to a text message, the message is automatically converted to MMS? whereas before its just a plain EMS.
this is a concern for me because my network provider offers unlimited texting service. and i am used to putting animations in my text (when i had my k750, w810, w900, t650 and g502) but with my acquisition of c510 a week ago (and the subsequent intro of "a250"), i cannot send out EMS anymore..
i miss the emoticons..
is this a software related issue? my software is R1DA029

No, all A2 phones starting from C905 are that way.

you can change your message layout to old style layout using customize_upgrade.
you can use animations on sms again. but you can't use chat view.

where is this Customize_upgrade seen?
both the old classic mesaaging folder and the conversations change a message to MMS when an emoticon is added.

here
there are two folder contains two xml files.
use customize_upgrade.xml on folder "separate_mode" to change your layout to old style layout --> can't use chat view, but can use animations
use customize_upgrade.xml on folder "unified_mode" to change your layout to default layout --> original C510 layout
put that customize_upgrade.xml into
tpa/preset/custom
(tested on my K850 and on C905).

Well mine is fine regarding putting in animations it goes through as text. I have new problem today though. I got new High Performance 4 Giga byte Sandisk memory card. Now for some reason when i record video on normal something goes wrong. The timer at top of screen speeds up and when it gets to 12 seconds recording it stops and goes back to standby. Whats causing this? It never did it with 1 giga byte card. Help. Mine is Orange branded.
