Looks like plain auto but still light years ahead of many 5mpx phones.

think the colours looks kind of weird, (K850-weird).
many outdoor pics have this yellow nuance, like they are shot with cloudy WB....but they isn't, they are all shot with auto WB ?

either you have bad eyes or you just playing naive. i cant decide which one im going for
colour-wise C901 is quite far behind k800/c902, (way to yellow nuance)
Noise reduction is a bit improved, BUT a higher N.R. also gives a more "smudge/milky"(Nokia) full size quality. (the details nearly melt together, (less visible contours, etc)).
C901 daylight...full size

C901 looks quite Nasty in full size (
especially landscape & larger views). so saying its one of the best 5 m.p. out there, is laughable.

How about comparing details in distant objects? Both pictures you used in your post have details far away in the far left edge:
C901
C902
The C902 doesn't have less noise reduction! It has more and on top of that it applies too much sharpening that makes noise look like someone has sprinkled salt on the picture.

I just think untill now the C901's picture quality is one of the bests -if not even the best- amongst all SonyEricsson cameraphones. The pictures are really detailed, not like C905's washed out, or C902's, K850's, etc "explosion filter" details. The colors are warm a little bit, but I think they are more natural, and eye-catching than recent CyberShot phones'.
