About the GSM shootout, i'm pretty confident that C is N8, A is Sony and B is pixon (most sure of this). It's quite easy to recognize pixon images due to all the noise in the sky. The most interesting about this is that N8 actually produces better images than the dedicated camera, at least by my eyes.

A is definetly Sony shit stuff. I can recognize the "agressive" noise reduction anywhere. Its just like my Satio. C is the winner everywhere. (look at the MC drive sign how you can see the bolts with N8).

This is what I call a reasonable approach to a review:

The way we see it, there’s some strong brand awareness that surrounds the Nokia N8. One way or the other, both praises and criticism come down to the handset being a Nokia phone.

This statement comes from GSMArena.

They´ve released a blind test with the N8, a Pixon12 and a Sony´s latest generation back-lit sensor high-zoom HX5v (which has slightly above average image quality, IMO).

My selection:

1 - C
2 - A
3 - A
4 - B
5 - C
6 - C
7 - C (ISO 400 synthetic resolution scale) My guess is that here, the N8 is the letter C
8 - C (ISO 800 synthetic resolution scale) My guess is that here, the N8 is the letter C

it's very easy to recognize the nokia on this blind test, it's the one who has a blurry area on the right of landscape pictures

So yes Nokia is the C

You do realize that the shootout has the pics in RANDOM order? That means that in pic row 1, A can be Sony, B Nokia and C Pixon, pic row 2 could be A Nokia, B Pixon and C Sony. You are supposed to pick your favourite pic in each row, not spot which pic is from which device!

yes almost all the ones I saw on the Net.

It's the same story of the N82.

Too bad.

You can conclude that it´s the N8 by some other method.

HX5v closest focal length 24mm
N8 focal length: 28mm
Pixon12 focal length: 30mm

The picture that covers the gratest area is the Sony, and so on. Try to compare those first 3 shots and you´ll see that:

C = N8
A = HX5v
B = Pixon12

Unless A,B,C changes from scene to scene.

The N8 may have that tiny deffect, but that is only visible at 100% of magnification.

But if the N8 is letter C in those last two pics, then its High ISO performance is clearly the best, and that makes up for that tiny drawback, IMO.
