Less than 7 million is not my guess but IDC figures. I too hope the numbers are greater than that.

Oh predictions eh?
I think they sold 6,743,445 Units (according to what you're suggesting Random User)
Anyway, I'm really quite excited to hear about the developments of CLED, though the tech would be incredibly difficult to make in Cellphones, if they manage to pull it off, it could be a huge deal and could quite literally knock Samsung off their feet, if prices are low enough and demand is high enough.

From what we've been hearing about CLED since it was first announced, they've always said it's a tech that's great for larger sized screens. Either that means the current level of CLED development only allows for 55" + sizes and it might one day be scalable down pixel densities suitable for mobile devices, or CLED will only ever be suitable for large to super large TVs.
It is kinda funny how OLED started with being suitable for small size screens and it's been a challange to get it to larger sizes, and CLED is doing the opposite. I really do hope that one day they can figure out how to get pixel densities down to a level suitable for mobile devices. It seems to have all the advantages of OLED with none of the disadvantages. As for the TV aspect of CLED, it has the potential to be Sonys new Trinitron of the modern TV era, helping them to reclaim the undisputed TV crown, and that can only help Sony as a whole
