Hi!
Read in a mobile magazine today that the z1010 is going to be launched on vodafone uk before any other operator but sony ericsson is looking into other operators. The people at vodafone also said that it would be 6 to 8 weeks before they would go on sale! More delays! Ihope the article was wrong! But in comparing the k700 and the z1010, ignoring the video call and 3g services, which phone do you think is going to be the better?

@richardlusty Which mag would that have been in then? I can tell you know from my experience that they other networks WILL NOT RELEASE THE Z1010 until they are running 3g. In other words they wont sell it for the 2g market. Simple reason is that the phone is not really suited for that. I find it weird that they say Vodafone will be the first considering Vodafone made a public announcement, that they will release the 3g service in time for xmas due to wanting to have the best serive on launch and not have constant teething problems.

Anyone waiting for the Z1010 i think you best bet is on 3. And as reported earlier it might be out in the next few days.

I jut got my z1010 and I am unbelievably happy. It is in stock at all stores here in Greece! I got it for 750 euros without an new phone line subscription. It was aout in two colors - silver and red. I got the red one because I believe it is much prettier.

To tell you the truth it is somewhat large, thicker to be exact, than what I expected, but still it is a beauty (beats my p800). Anyway waiting for it to charge.

Oh, and one question... In the UK I am using Orange, and I was wondering if I could have 3g services through Orange when I come back to the UK. I also roam though T-Mobile using my Greek number. So can anyone tell me if I will be able to use the phone at is was meant to be in the UK?

Hi, cant remember what magazine i read it in. in the phone shop i work in we get magazines delivered quite often! well it was only a small article called z1010 to hit the shelves soon. in it, it said the magazine were speakin to some top man at vodafone (some executive) and he said that vodafone were going to launch 2 3g phones over the next 2 months (although it also says about its 3g services not going to be operational until xmas) it said that the z1010 would follow the 1st 3g phone by around 2 weeks.
Hope that helps! and no one has yet answered my question about the k700 compared to the z1010!!

i think i would probably go for the k700

but the z1010 still may be quite cheap so i am still deciding whether to sell my p800 but i cant wait to have a go on them!
