i don't blame the teams, i blame ferrari, michelin and the fia. i blame ferrari because of poor sportsmanship (they were desperate for a win at any cost), blame michelin for the crap tyres (even though they tried to do something about it), and the fia for being stupid and not overriding ferrari to put that chicane in.

@Cornholio 666
Read the Max Mosely interview mentioned above.
Ferrari had nothing to do with the 'no chicane' decision. Ferrari, Jordan and Minardi were never consulted. Ferrari have been successful through building the best cars and paying the best driver the worlds biggest paycheck, a tactic any team can use if they want to.

i've have just read it, but i don't understand how max mosely said the bridgestone runners weren't consulted, but paul stoddard and other people said that 9 out of the 10 teams agreed to putting in the chicane

Thats not a new thing,everybody (every team) except ferrai reach an agreement for an issue,ferrai disagress . We saw this phenomenon many times recent years,and fia in most times are in favour of ferrai.

The teams have thier own meetings where they decide things among themselves and present thier combined opinions to the FIA. Perhaps that is what happened?
I am a big fan of Honda's F1 endeavours but found out very quickly that you can't always trust what a team manager says, no matter how much you like the team. The FIA are an independent organisation (despite assertions to the contrary) and while I don't like all the 2005 regulations, I can't fault Max Mosely on his logic or his interpretation of the Michelin and BAR incidents. If anyone can, I'd be interested to hear thier comments.

i would have preferred the fia to leave the rules alone. thinking about the changes i wonder where would we be in formula 1, how fast the cars would go, and how different they would look if the fia just left the rules alone. top speeds of 250mph?

i think if they left the rules the same, ferrari would dominate the season again and again... the main reason it was changed was to add more excitement to the races and ofcourse to stop ferrari/shumacher...
and excitement they got!!!
I also feel shumis thirst for racing hard has gone... he doesnt chase the way he used to.

Oh i don't know about that. Twice this season he has hunted down and intimidated his way past Button, a technique which didn't work against Alonso at Imola. I don't think Button is up to the job of competing aginst Schuey. I want Montoya, Coulthard or Ralf at BAR.

i personally dont admire any of those 3 drivers, i did like tecuma sato though...
do you remember shumi when he was with benetton, and with ferrari against hakkinen, that was him at his best!!! maybe hes just getting older....
He wasnt the best in the past 3 years even though he won... it was the car... u cant give an excellent driver the best car and expect to keep up.
it was actually unfair in my opinion... but im glad hes got 7 trophies even though he didnt deserve to get it as easy as he did.
