you learn skill on a HT then should you really feel the need you can transfer that to a FF and you should be capable of going faster, but i can do XC quicker on my hardtail dale than my mates can do on FF Marin/Specialized/Kona etc
any my iccle bro can cain anyone on his Norco 4Hun. its all about skil!

Err, 'fraid i'll have to disagree with you there, it just depends on how you set them up and what compound pads you use. well even stock pads work well in all conditions...
well ive been using HS33's for years now and they are the best rims brakes money can buy....
