Hi, Wotan Server has provided W880i, W610i and K550i Retail Firmwares already...even the phones aren't out yet..what a quick step...even far further beyond SE itself...
Why is that? Shall we examine?
Could it be because WOTAN and the other flashing services are paid services? Could it be that they have the same access to the SEUS firmware but charge for it by delivering it before SE officially releases it to the mass market for free.?
It's just because they SELL the F/W's to WOTAN!!

I believe all of us can buy from SE as well and get higher level EMMA account, but it won't be cheap.

@Sky Hi
Did you read my post about saying something and proving something?
Everyone knows that Wotan buys access to the server. This has been common knowledge since flashing became the hottest ticket in town. The real pros that used to come to Esato made this known a while ago, so what it your point?
SE provides SEUS as a service. It is not a right you get when you purchase a phone, nor are f/w upgrades. They provide these because they know that like anything else, f/w is created by humans and subject to errors.

True. The SVC's get access for free but are limited as to what they can do. None of them can de-brand a phone as this is an agreement made between the operators and SE. Services like Wotan, et al do not enter into such an agreement and can pretty much do as they please.

It IS a right when you buy something faulty (bugs, crashes, and shit like these) to have it supported for FREE, and it's their DUTY to offer that since you PAY for that device. IF there had been a PERFECT F/W that worked fine, there wouldn't be such a need. I don't think you would think like that when buying a car! That's why GUARANTEES are for!
Don't be fools! Demand what you PAY for! Don't be a victim, unless you want to feel like one...

As everyone knows here, even Batsh_t, there is no such thing as perfect firmware. A mature and knowledgeable person would know and understand this and act accordingly. All of your posts have been nothing but complaints and curses. Great way to make a point there for sure. If you don't like the phone then take it back and don't use it. SE nor Nokia, nor any of the other mobile phone manufactures guarantee an error free phone. They simply try to meet the needs of an ever expanding and demanding (and hopefully mature) market with new and exciting features. If this is not enough for you, then you go and design a perfect, error free phone.

You don't get my point I'm afraid...I don't demand the perfect phone. I demand a perfect after-sales support!! I do like my phone. For God's shake can't you read what I EXACTLY say!
Anyway I'm tired of you...don't bother answering cause you won't get an answer back...

i own a brown k800i and i want to update/upgrade the software to R1GB001 because the current software version is the R1D***
i cannot update the software using the desktop software that can be downloaded from the SE website as it always results in a fatal error "java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException" why is this so?
i can't even update directly from my mobile phone, some problem with the network support.
please help. how can i upgrade the software version without disabling the chinese language input of my k800i?
thank you.
try uinstalling and using ccleaner to fix all issues in registry, then download the latest java version and then reinstall SEUS and try again, hope this helps!

I guess you opened your mouth and proved my point.
By the way, it's "For God's sake". My point proven again.

Hello guys,
I've visited SE centre in my city, trying to upgrade my f/w. They said the latest f/w is R1GB but again they dissappointed me. They told me the upgrade process took 2 hours and my data in phone memory (phone book, sms, mms, etc) will lost, but all data that saved on M2 didn't lost because they unplug it during process. Is it true guys????
For all of u that upgraded ur f/w through SEUS, Wotan, have u lost the data I Mentioned above?? And have u guys wait 2 hours during upgrade software???
