@3.1415926, there are about 70 active Filipino posters in the Esato forums. We could be about a hundred counting those a) not in the Philippines but is a Filipino; b) some inactive ones and c) those who are 'shy' who doesn't post much but do send us private messages.

@mdkia, there's a lot of very good italian restaurants in the Philippines, some with Italian chefs. I go to this place called 'Il Ponticello' nice italian food and of course, Filipino beer, San Miguel Beer.

@arnoldc, I think the most important thing it's to have an italian (or german ...or whatever else ...) chef if the restaurant is for italian, german ...ecc. food.
Once I was in Moscow and I asked for an 'espresso' coffee ...it was awful. the barman noticed my face and he asked me what was wrong ...and I said of course "the coffee is not wonderful!:)))" and he said it was lavazza italian coffee ...
I think this doesn't mean anything if you don't know how to do/cook it!:)))
Sorry for the OT ...I leave the forum now!:)
Just to say that maybe you can eat better pasta than me in that restaurant ...even if it's not in italy!:)
ciao
