@Webalistic have you tried ports in the back of the PC? I really can't see it being a grounding issue. Perhaps plug into the charger and see if you get a similar effect, it could be the connector on the phone itself being loose and causing ill effects internally.

@Caff111 The battery thing is a bit weird. I guess that would happen if you took he battery out and left it for a while but shouldn't happen if you just swap the battery over. I don't use the stock launcher, do you have any pics of the misalignment you see?

clock and time would be reset even I take out battery for a few seconds. Very weird.........
What launcher you guys recommend? Launcher Pro?

I never had the apps alignment issue.
And my Arc is responsive once connected to PC.

I don't have any alignment problem and I'm using arc launcher. I think the stock launcher is the best and I really like the pinch to zoom for the homescreen.

@Ricky D
Well, i've tried ports on the back, on external usb hubs and they all give the same behaviour.
When i connect to my laptop, everything is fine, but my laptop (or it's psu) isn't grounded. The SE psu is fine too.
I've even unplugged all devices from the computer that have themselves a grounded power plug, but no result.
Seems that somehow my pc is suffering from or generating noise on ground or something. Not sure how to address that without going into hugely expensive line filters and such.

@Webalistic: I had the exact same issue but only when I'd connect the phone to the supplied charger. I believe it has something to do with the heat generated from the battery. After a few charge cycles the problem is completely gone away now.

@Webalistic You could try opening up the case and checking for loose or trailing cables that could be causing shorts. Else try strapping a bare cable to the metal of the case and sticking it into something earthed if you think there's noise through the earthing. Either way it sounds like the problem is specific to your machine, you might find google can help you with odd usb behaviour.

I'll continue the search. As for Google. so far it's provided me with several people experiencing the same behaviour on several devices, but non of those threads provide any solution.
Thanks for thinking along anyway.

Cheers.
