Does anyone know whats the usual shipping delay of SE phones that are shipped to Asia? My hookup is in the Philippines. I'm wondering whats usually the time delay that the Asia countries get their phones from when the UK gets theres. I'm guesstimating a week delay?

"P990i win back time with the ultimate smartphone"

We've waited and wasted seven months for the P990i, give us the P990i now instead of mocking us with that catch phrase Sony Ericsson.

They will bring out a top class smartphone, no doubt and most of us will buy it..but some people have lost a bit of faith in SE, and some others have taken their custom elsewhere..

SE have made incredible marketing blunders with this phone and they are continuing to do so right up to the last minute..Unbelievable..

Come on people, Symbian, UIQ and SE are breaking new ground and giving us a smaller, faster and better platform for the future. This is just the first generation, its just the start of the journey. Once the niggles are sorted we'll get more Smatrphones then we can imagine. I have a M600 and I can see the potential of this new platform - Opera is blistering on 3G, much fater then any other Smartphone I have ever used. Usability - UIQ3 is very snappy and easy to use. Software package - just look at the Office s/w, games, media etc you get. The M600 is the best portable MP3 player I have ever heard and the same will surely be true of the P990. I know we have been fustrated by the delays, but all new things take time and create difficulties. Nothing good is easy to do.

I can understand how important is this step...but as a customer that i don't take part in it, is difficult 4me to not to be angry..I just want to give my money and take their product.The problem is about se's marketing...not se's programming group....just se's marketing that fails to bridge the gap!

@Jah

I share your optimism and I totally agree with you on the benefits and usability of the new platform. It is what most of us have been looking to in a new smartphone platform..quick, usable, versatile..

Yes new technologies are difficult to implement..it is just the way SE handled the release of this product that bothers me..

It will be interesting to see whether they have learnt...Lets see how they will handle the next Pxxxx release..
