@egunje,In terms of interconnectivity I dont think it is still wise 2 carry 2 or more phones anymore. Its against NCC laws 4 any network 2 bar calls to/fro another net.
@Marybabe,egunje says tht thr's no Glo signal in his office.Over 2 you.

@Aya: If you do discontinue use of your Glo SIM in favour of cdma, then you'll probably lose out on true mobility, because you won't be able to use your starcomms if you went outside Lagos, except of course, if you hardly travel.
What Egunje was refering to was the use of mobile PTO lines for voice calls.
I have found out that calls to land lines for me accounts for only about 8-10%, this isn't enough to warrant investment in another phone. Moreover, I pay 48k/sec (N28.8/min) for voice calls on my vmobile, compared to N25/min (no option of PSB) charged by most PTO's. I'm ok with that.

@amby: Well, I hardly travel. But I guess that it would matter the few times I do travel in a year.

@Ihe: Ah, the prodigal son returns 2 da nite shift. Welcome! Didn't mean 2 scare MB... just warning her to brace up for our good and bad moods with respect to network performance. [See how our S.A brothers react when we descend on MTN]

I share the thought above.
I have followed this thread about 5 pages back and can't help laughing and laughing. Looks like no one likes MTN in Nigeria.
This is exactly why I think that things would be worse if they should upgrade to 3G, cos people would attempt video calls, huge data download/upload, and this would simply clog the network resources.
