@tindo196

To be fair to SE I heard some of the problems were with UIQ3, which is out of their control (but Symbian 9.1 was mostly okay - but other may know better). Also it appears the range of push email support they wanted was to ambitious (remember no WM5 device tries to support so many systems). And yes they probably made mistakes by trying to develop 3 UIQ products around the same time. Well as other have said hopefully they will reflect on this experience and hopefully not lose so much good will again from their loyal customers.

Now lets just hope all the information about availability at the end of this week start of next week is true.

Someone mentioned that the 'Win back' link on the UK page didn't work. I found that if you change 'gb' in the url to something else like 'se' you can access the flash animation but there's a loading problem and halts at 100%. Probably because the back-end source files aren't done yet. Anyway, if you right-click on the flash and select 'Play' you can enter the flash but all the menus and content is 'undefined', although you can navigate around.

I don't know that they're ' desperate ' to tell us anything at all about the P990i...

At the end of the day, in spite of all the false alarms, speculation, and people buying other phones in the interim ( they'll be back ! )...

if this phone lives up to the promise suggested by those who have the final version in their hands ,it's going to do really, really well on the market...

My current upgrade is due in september, i am paying £25 p/m so don't know whether it will be free!!

thats if it's out by then

I reckon it will be about £400 on an existing £75 per month contract, I very much doubt there will be many deals to be had on new contacts either.

I really do not belive this phone will be available TESTED and WORKING on any UK network until September at the earliest. I have pretty much resigned myself to getting another P910i until next year as until then I think it will be a problematic and very over priced item. Buying a sim free import now will in my opinion a very expensive waste of money.

It seems like the price in UK is a bit higher then it is in sweden. The price i have is about 600 euro with a monthly cost for about 20 euro (in 18 months) with I can use to call and so...

75£ a month seem pretty high!!

We recommend you place your Pre-Order now to guarantee immediate
despatch once available.

The Sony Ericsson P990i is priced at GBP 536, please visit the
