What is the meaning of this so-called nite-shifters? Are these folks who stay up at night to take advantage of better GPRS signal quality and MTN's 'free' GPRS?

Nope. They are the guys who show minimal presence during the day, but somehow manage to do 100 posts or so while the rest of us are sleeping!

I think its the MTN shylock attitude that resulted in that. The only proactive thing MTN did was invest in Nigeria. Thereafter, every other good thing they have done have been in response to other networks' proactive and innovative services.
Its like MTN's secret slogan is
Milk
Those
Nigerians!
They have used coverage as an edge over the years. Now, its a fine line between their coverage and GloMobile's. Customer support is zilch! At MTN's "friendship centres", people are made to stand for hours both outside and inside the buildings. At least, Glomobile provides comfortable seats, if they have to keep you waiting.
To tell you the truth, the only reason I amexcited about this MTN GPRS freebie is that it gives me the opportunity to at least get something back from years of fuelling their pockets and getting trash back.
My dad is on an MTN contract plan and has one issue or the other every now and then. Worse, I was on a contract plan once and their gross ineptitude ensured it ended up as a misadventure.
bah! Nuff said.

MTN Nigeria is constantly under fire. They really need to look inward.
My opinion also is, all those who feel cheated by MTN at one time or the other should take 'undue' advantage of their current 'free' GPRS offering and download as much as you want. Calculate your data download in Naira and you'd smile.
Some one like AYA who has downloaded in excess of 500MB has got thousands of Naira (theoretically) from MTN. This should console you guys.
What's more? Hit hard on the iron whilst its still hot!

@Marybabe
There is no cause for alarm at all! We don't wanna loose you here.
You are on this forum in your personal capacity and NOT on behalf of Globacom, so what's the qualms about?
The guy who talked about friendly wolves attacking you was partially joking. And what's more? Glo is number one!
Glo with pride
