@Jah - Any news on your preorder from TheOrder.co.uk - they afterall were claiming (even after double checking this via email) to have stock yesterday for delivery on Wednesday?

i emailed www.theorder.co.uk yesterday afternoon and said that seeing as they are stating on their website that they have stock, can i have delivery tomorrow (tuesday/today) but i've had no answer from them as yet!...i think they don't actually have stock

Plus you can't ring them, not too impressed so far

@sleepyhead, funny that I just send them an email asking what the status is with my order. I have warned them that if it is not delivered tomorrow I will cancel my order.

@Jah - this is what concerned me about them. I have to say it is one thing to prematurely claim to have stock on your website (it is afterall common practice with most phone suppliers), but another completely to blatently lie when asked specifically if you have the item in stock. Even Phones2UDirect come clean when asked the specific question.
I had a suspicion they may be telling porky pies when they confirmed they had stock - afterall why would they get stock before any of the other usual suspects.

Also, I'm not quite sure what the actual relationship is, but theorder.co.uk have something to do with e2save.com (and therefore CPW). It may be they are just using e2saves affliate store option, or that they are owned completely by them, but them and a number of other suppliers (like allorange.co.uk) are all suspciously similar.
For example a quick Google reveals this page on an O2 specific theorder.co.uk site:
Quote:o2.theorder.co.uk working with e2save.com, a trademark of The Carphone Warehouse Limited, Terms & Conditions of business

I'm not suprised they'll have some units left at that price.

@sleepyhead, you're in the wrong job! You should become an internet PI
I noticed the connecttion between e2save and theorder so I called e2save as well about stocks of the P990 - they had no idea about the P990 availability! Also CPW have told me they don't expect stock till mis August. I think we'll have to rely on Expansys for delivery this week/early next week and hopefully other sup[pliers will have stocks next week.

LOL.

I think it says something about theorder.co.uk's business practices if they are prepared to blatently lie about having stock. I'll be very suprised if you get any sort of dispatched email from them today....
