why are you swallowing your words and jettisoning your beloved second wife, Nokia 9500?

I am not swallowing any words. The 9500 is an excellent laptop replacement. I am dropping the 9500 because I am dropping internet access via GPRS for cost reasons.

With more things to do online, my GPRS bills run into over N30,000 monthly. CDMA will give me 24-hour internet access at a max N15k per month.

If I drop GSM, there's no use for the 9500. Since there are no equivalents of the 9500 on offer on any CDMA network here.... I decided to get a laptop and a CDMA mobile instead.

Quite simple really. Its called adapting to changing circumstances.

I'v learnt thru experienc tht SIM cards & phones shld not b disposd of until u r utterly sure tht u may not need them in near future. @Aya,I stand by d questn,"Are u sure?"Why not get urself CDMA & keep 9500.Circumstances may change again. This message was posted from a Nokia

@all: I quite appreciate the concerns expressed by you all. At the least, I am not throwing away the SIMs. If and when I find the need for them, they'll come in handy, plus I am keeping my T68i.

The 9500 is just too much money to keep lying around on a shelf doing nothing. My money works for me. If its not, its a waste in my record books.

@abu: welcome to PN!
