Download a Windows Vista X64 ISO, put it on your MicroSD or M2 thats big enough. Than mount the .iso with Daemon-tool.jar and your firmware will be upgraded to R1DA038 Ultimate Edition.







someone should change the 1st post and add that the R1DA038 is for BRANDED / Provider SPAM phones only.

thanks man, you made my day!!!! it is "k850 reloaded" I had faith in u.

I mentioned a few posts ago that i could sense a big update coming including functions from the new phones and mobile TV. (I think i was right, time will tell)

For everyone who wonders where I am these days, I thought I would let you know that I do still keep an eye on the forum - but by no means as much as I used to because, as some of you know, I returned by K850 very early on and have a Nokia N82 now.

As for the updates, I still plan to keep the front page up to date when the new firmware is released. If some of you guys who spend more time here than I could PM me with VERIFYABLE bugs & issues with current and previous firmware issues I will be glad to add them to the front page. By verifyable I mean that you can test them on a second K850 and verify that the problem can be reproduced. Obviously I used to do this myself, but no longer having a K850 means that this is impossible for me .... unless SE sends me one for free (which is not likely, given the generally negative comments in this thread so far!)

Right ... off to play with my N82. Just to let you all know, this phone isn't perfect either. The Media Player can get itself into a pickle very easily, which can be very annoying - my work collegue thought his MicroSD had broken and was on the verge of chucking it!!! Having said that it is fairly straightforward to fix if you know what to do and the featureset and performance is truly great (my phone runs a full web server, a full office suite, the excellent GPS driven Nokia Sports Tracker and Wellness applications and a couple of GPS apps (Nokia Maps 2.0 beta and Route 66). It should also be running Doom, but mine crashes before startup ... better fix this at some point!)

By The Way - are you planning on getting the k850 again? and do you have inside information about SE FW for k850 like mizzle? If so can you post?
