Right i am currently obtaining some csi episodes and they seem to be in the following format:
[FuFu].rmvb i am guessing the [FuFu] bit is the people who made it *cough torrent* or maybe not i don't know but anyhow when i go to open it i get:
unsupported document type when it opens in real player and the same with quicktime.
Also i have some music covers in bmp format and preview will not open them so i try word and it comes up as gobbledegook.
???

Try changing the extension from .rmvb to .rm and then try playing in Real Media player.
BTW, anything in Real Video format is usually shite quality!

with the csi ones download dixex player and try that? If nt they could be compressed? Unsure on the word problems you got there

Try renaming the file to something short, like "test.rm" or "test.rmvb"
