the thing with the w810i and w900i etc is theyve removed the lens cap for the camera! what the heck is that all about, they protected the lens and made them look really swish.

indeed W810 is such a baby... but i think the K750 successor will rock tha house... and a 3.2MP camera from SonyEricsson can be really a pain in the arse for other companies.

i think i can still wait for that... late this year...

yeah, and hopefully the K replacement will retain the active lense. I think SE are differentiating between "walkman" phones (with better media player), and "camera" phones (with better camera features). The differences are large enough to brand one as a walkman and the other as camera phone, but small enough that both phones can still effectively be used as either a music player or a camera.

Just enough, Max, enough to have our wallets open to both but our hearts confused over which to purchase ... walkman or camera.

Now I can see SE NOT shipping high amounts of MSDuo Pro cards with the Camera branded phones because they can easily make more money in official memory & accessories.

i see.. so thats how they do it...

but how bout if they just trim down the SRP of DUOs on the market...
and let their consumers experience their extended storage capacity with their branded phones...

how bout a 2G PRO for just $90-100 hehehe, will i be asking that much?

The W810 is a nice phone, I'm hoping the next K (imaging phone) has just as nice styling. I also hope they bring out (for all you yanks deprived of technolgy for your lovely EDGE networks) an EDGE K series, and for my own needs, a 3G K series (that hopefully isn't a twist phone).

Im not a yank! I agree Max if SE can make a decent K-series 3G phone ill get one!!
Tough I still believe 3G phones are bulkier but If SE gets it right then I wont really be bothered with edge, IF they cant make a small 3G phone then at least have edge!! Or even better, small phone supporting both!!

If the successor to the K750 has 3G in a similiar package then I'm definitely getting it.

Hehe, actually I was thinking of another poster who specifically claimed the US was left out by SE. But it equally applies to any countries EDGE networks

I agree with you about the desirability of EDGE handsets due to smaller size, however I feel with phone like the W900, and even more so (dare I say it) the N70, the days of large 3g handsets will soon be behind us. This coupled with Australian absence of EDGE seals the deal for me on 3G.

@Prom1, "just enough" - Exactly! The buggers. But the fact is the situation is even worse with other phone companies, esp. Nokia, where You need to buy three phones to get everything you want. Atleast each SE (W versus K) still has more or less the same expansive feature set.

i think it's definately a worthwhile upgrade to anyone who owns a k750 or w800 who has had to repeatedly return the bloody thing because of the joystick failing!

i've always said that se phones would be perfect if they got rid of the sh*t joystick... i'm so fed up of continually having to get my k750 repaired because of it, and it was exactly the same story with the k700...

F&*$(&^%&$(!!!!!!

well done se for finally waking up and dumping the joystick!!!
