Lo all

Picked up my C510 the other day from CPWH after constantly bugging them while waiting for stock
Wanted the O2 version as I wanted to go with the Sim only deal.

Anyway, I had a play with the Orange branded one which was pretty horrid - Was surprised at how slow it was. Then popped into Three and it was much faster.
A few days later they got the O2 one in stock....It appears to be unbranded AND unlocked . All for £107 inc £10 credit with O2. It has the normal 'Cybershot' logo on the bottom of the phone and I can't find one specific O2 thing on the phone.

I've only tried a Virgin mobile SIM in at currently, but as this uses T-mobile and not O2's and works fine I can't see issues with others happening (although I will test soon).

R1DA032 with no update yet on SEUS.

I do find the voice quality muffled though like some others have said in this thread. This has replaced an ageing Samsung D500 which had *much* clearer call quality. I think I saw something about editing a XML config file to enable better call quality - was I dreaming this / for another phone?

Everything else about the phone is superb though - excellent screen, very fast interface, texting is easy on the key pad, camera is 'ok' (but that's not what I look for in a phone) and the price is superb. SE really have got this one spot on for the price.

The Three model I had a play with had a Facebook application and MSN - could someone dump these from their phone and upload them? I'm assuming they are just Java apps? I'd really like to get my hands on both and try to get them working on a standard unbranded one.
The mobile facebook site can be accessed normally of course, but the application on the Three phone was quite nice.

Now I'm just off to search for some guides on firmware modding I used to do a fair bit back in the Sony J5 days...good old Hex editor ....looks a bit easier now

edit - just checked the service menu (why didn't I think of that sooner!). All show as unlocked with the number 5 next to them

I only find call quality muffled on some calls not all. On most its ok just not that loud on busy street though sometimes on busy street it seems to automatically get bit louder. I have noticed since debranding my Orange one its so so much faster. Amazing.

Now i have debranded i still have a Orange sticker at the bottom of the phone. Its not that bad but the debranding will be complete if i could get the Cyber Shot sticker. Anyone know how i can get one? Thanks.

Does it bother you that much? There is an O2 one on my W910 at the bottom and it doesn't really bother me tbh.
