@plankgatan. Please stop! Its getting very annoying that you keep hijacking every topic with comparisons with your beloved c902. I know its subjective but c902 quality sucks compared to c901. What is it with you and c902? Do you make sweet tender love to your c902 or what?

The C902 pictures show obvious artifacts from the aggressive noise filters and massive oversharpening to compensate for it while C901 image looks more natural. Also if you look at the white objects in the C901 pictures in an image editing program you can see that the they are perfectly white in rgb ratio, so there's nothing wrong with awb. You shouldn't compare AWB on images of scenes you haven't actually checked in real life since there's an obvious change in color temperatures based on location, time of day, clouds, etc. For example, towards the north and south extremes from the equator the color temp is much higher so it causes a blue tint while in towards the equator it's more yellowish.

You don't need to be a professor to tell C901 camera isn't top notch. Someone mentioned it didn't look washed out, that's precisely what it does. However, it has Xenon flash which makes it more desirable then regular Sony Ericsson phones.

he he..."IF" I thought C901 pictures look great, i had of course said it. (im not that naive).
I had also order it right away becuase thats what i do if i find a new Cybershot who i like.......(i kind of collect them )

outdoor pics looks they are taken with cloudy WB (wondering then how cloudy WB will look ???), besides, landscape/larger views (full size) looks absolute horrible, all details is melted together in a BIG pool of patterns.

I agree but most of the time just a waste of bandwidth. Facts don't bite on certain fanboys who view criticism of their favorite phones as personal insults.

you really think i giving C901 weak judgements because i have a C902 ???? (oh my)

are you guys nuts. i LOVE (nearly) ALL products. everything from their walkman phones to Cybershot phones to their accessories. i buy ALL new Cybershot flagships (except for C905), but in this case i think its a waste of money to replace a better camera to a worse one...Period !

I havn't seen a camphone that doesn't remove the fine details in a landscape pics, always in a landscape pic from a camphone the tree leaves even entire trees in the background are completey post processed away, the c902 is no expection just because it sharpners the picture more heavily doesn't mean theres more detail the over sharping actaully disorts some of the detail in the c902s pics, the c901's smoother looking pics the detail is actually more visable and not disorted by over sharping.
