Is the auto focus so extremely bad on Aino??

No it's not bad. It's a cam you have to get used to (i do)
I use auto + macro all the time. You have to keep your lens very clean and hold it extremely still. (Hard for me
)

I consider this to be an amazing discovery! I experiemnted briefly this afternoon and indeed, a photo of a long distance view from my house did indeed look much sharper using macro! Astounding!
This leads me to ask a few questions?
1. Why does this work so well? How can macro be so effective when used for long distance shots? Has Sony Ericsson made a mistake with the camera's firmware or hardware, and using macro is a work-around?
2. What happens when I want to take a close up photo where macro would usually be used. Is macro much more ineffective in this situation than it should be? And will this macro work-around be a usuable fix for sharp photos in low light, or with the flash?

well, its not rocket science
............it focus just more accurate then auto focus, (the auto focus is pretty sloppy on Aino from start....can probably be improved with a better cam-software).
