Yes you're right, Exept that the N8 is very good but like i said in mobile review forum/treath N8 :
maybe for some users this is not very important or not very visible but for me it is an unacceptable failure.

Yeah, thatīs all about trading attributes.
People have different needs.
I will not discuss about the competition, but we all know that there is no such thing like a perfect product.

The N8′s larger image sensor and generously-sized image sensor pixels help it capture more light and reduce noise in dimly lit situations. Nighttime shots are the bane of any camera cameraphones especially which makes the N8′s camera that much more impressive!
The iPhone4īs camera pixels have the same size as those from the N8, and they are also back-lit. They should perform closely in this regard.
In fact, they perform similarly. Those night shots from the iPhone4 were shot @ ISO 1000. Pretty decent performance for a cameraphone.

Either this blur spot is a faulty phone, or people are seeing things because i dont see a thing in any of those pictures. Please if its there highlight it, stick a red ring around it because i cant see any problem - and i have normal vision.

I cannot see it either and are you really going to look at all you photos at full zoom why would you need to. But on the other hand whatever blurry spot on the right side is there I will say this. Carl Zeiss lenses they're not always what they are cracked up to be. What I mean is I have had recently 2 different Sony cameras from a Sony store and both I returned cos both had Carl Zeiss lenses and both had a blurry right hand side to the pics. This is true and I was thinking 2 different models with same problem but same lens. Interesting. With the Nokia supposedly having Carl Zeiss then this could be lens problem

Ive seen all phones with a similar blur spot, all the way back from 2005 with the K750i people had an issue. The same a year later with the K800i and so on.
I dont think CZ lenses are all that special, in fact i think CZ i just a label rather than any difference in technology.
Still, i cannot see any problems with those pictures from the N8.

Pretty awesome high ISO performance. Better than the latest generation back-lit sensor from Sony.
The bigger sensor does live up to its size.

seems they found a bug in the video zooming
The bad news is that we found a strange bug - the Nokia N8 only starts doing that smart zooming when you are at about 2x. Before that it behaves identically to every other handset out there and looses quality
