I took some photos on my walk home so they are pretty boring. Weather isn't nice these days and the sun won't show up for quite a while as it seems.
What I noticed is that the detail and sharpness on close up shots is pretty good. But as soon as you take normal pictures the detail and crispness are just average. The detail and sharpness on my 800 is slightly better than the 920 but overall the 920 has better colors and tends to look better if you don't zoom in. Once in a while the details turn out to be better on the 920.
The performance seems very inconsistant to me.
By the way I couldn't notice any difference in the photos when I used the key or the screen to take the pics.

I really do think Nokia has released this phone with some camera tweaking to do. They need to release an update quick, what are they thinking
Great phone and as we seen low light is very good, but I think a software tweak should sort this out. I cannot believe Nokia have released their flagship with what seems like unfinished, unchecked software. Why would they do this in a flagship??

Yakkaimono thank you for sharing!
And, yes... Nokia have very little knowledge of the Windows NT kernel, its pretty obvious. I expect similar results from the 820. I don't want to say they don't know what they are doing, because they got the low light sort of right.. but still, a far cry from their Symbian powered camera phones.
So, Tough Story.. indeed.

Yes their not brain washed sheep
Anyway,am sure the camera will take not bad pics in sunlight and as stated, night time. When Nokia release an update to improve the camera as they did with the 800 & 610. But also I have been watching alot of un boxing videos and this device is gorgeous. That screen with the live tiles looks amazing. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh when stores get a shop model on display.
Now,Nokia has made Windows phone and increased it's market share. It is Windows phone and Nokia has made it more popular. I have read that pre sales for HTC Windows phones have been good and also some stores have had que's outside. Which leads me to believe that Nokia will sell well with their new Lumia range too. So for me I am hopeful for a brighter future for Windows phone in a world dominated by boring Android and iOS phones. These new Lumia phones for me are more than just cameras.
By the way,did you know that in Spanish Lumia means, prostitute

^ wait.. are you calling me a sheep ?
No.. I didn't know the translation mean that .. funny
I never liked the word naming anyway, its very.. Asian like, most asian companies name their cars and phones with words.. galaxy, optimus, civic, corolla, etc. I prefer the numbers better, and that is why I call the lumia phones by their respective numbers, no mention of the "lumia"
Nokia 920 sounds wayy better to me than Nokia Lumia 920
