I dunno. Even last year we had the same 50mp rumors for Xperia 1 III and nothing turned out to be close to that. I mean it could be they finally realized they can't maximise current sensors to match big QB ones or they are making a distinction between 1/5 and PRO lines. But from what I realize right now 1/5 are about focal lenght flexibility while PRO-I is about single sensor power house. Sure, things can change down the road.

I don't own the device but hope it's not true.

This is one point I dont like about Pro-I despite understands why Sony done it, no proper cooling on Pro-I
Some issues with thickness, costs and supply chains, component placements, assembly procedure,...all contribute to why Sony dont do it. I could improve it somewhat by remove the back glass and apply graphene pad to the battery section, both inner glass surface and the battery itself. Apply some copper foils to the camera module and some thick TIM to the heat generating chip sections (but when you or Sony decided to open the phone for repairs, it will be messy due to squished TIM
). Also if you are there applying TIM, you will have the option to play the "Pimp my Pro-I" game and upgrade the LPDDR5 chip from 12GB to 16/18GB.
It should works fine (bad Sony for not making this official spec along with 1TB UFS 3.1 chip
) but will void your warranty immediately
I planned to do that, good thing I have access to proper equipments and spare tools

Not surprise. It is known that larger sensor produces more heat. Looks like Pro-i video recording has higher bitrates than 1iii.
What's meaning of TIM?

Sure it does. That's exactly how ProRes video on iPhone achieves "better image qualitiy", because it dials in bitrate to eleven. Pretty sure they can crank up bitrate on 1 III as well. What I find fascinating is that youtubers find ultrawide of better video quality than the main sensor on PRO-I. Ultraiwide is digital processed crap, great on a small screen or youtube but when viewed on proper desktop monitor you can catch all those digital artifacts that make up that additional sharpness. I really don't understand people who are so apparently all about mobile cameras and yet they don't see things like this or like orange faces on iPhone video. Or iPhone sharpening the defocused background.

DP Review was very hard on iphone cine mode. That fake blur is bizarre. Looks like those background people use for webcam. Yes, people become yellow/orange on iphone.

TIM = Thermal Interface Material aka thermal paste/thermal grease,...

Did you use ace2? I've heard battery lasts a lot even compared to XZ1C.
Is it true that new 48Mp 0.9 micron has this tech?

No real news today, but there are some "shuffle" inside Sony (and changes on Sony infrastructures to prevent leaks as well) as a response to recent Xperia leaks
So maybe you all will be hearing less leaks from everybody in the future, including me

How can they make it even harder? Except Sony, supply chain and people they gave units to test, none else knew about pro-i. There was zero about it on internet before sony started teasing it.
Anyway, we know all already : bit shorter (smaller bezels), Ltpo screen, 4 rear cameras like S21U , SD8G1 from samsung, similar design, probably 5000mAh.
We now only need to know the colours.
Why android 12 update just in january? Pandemic was much worse in 2020, still android 11 got out in december. Is 10ii being updated?
Can we have this please. None would mind to pay some extra $30-40.

** Doubt . Didn't sony kill Lifelog? Google play says the latest version is 6th Dec 2021. 🤔.
Please, we all want Album and Xperia keyboard back. Google apps suck.
