Well I was on the 1000off peak x-net and 1000 texts for £25 a month.

I called them up telling them I found a better deal (the t-mob one mentioned above) the best they offered was 750x-net and 750 texts for £20... I said no to all the offers, and told her I wanted to cancel the contract and wanted my PAC code.

She then gave me a further 3 options:

1) Cancel the contract completley
2) Cancel and get my PAC code
3) Switch down to this VERY cheap contract.

I decided on the last one

It's only 50x-net minutes and 150 texts, but for 75p a month you can't go wrong

I am currently on a contract paying £25 a month for 750 off peak x-net mins and 100 texts. £25 is too much for me and I'm hoping to reduce to £20 max, will I be able to keep the price plan I have now and be able to get a free samsung d900 or SE k800, or will I be able to squeeze a better deal out of them!? The thing I am looking for mainly is to bring the price of the contract down, and to a get a new (good) phone FOC.

Thanks for any help

I've just registered so I can post my O2 deal since I found reading the experiences of others here helped me when I rang O2 retentions.

I've only been with O2 for one year and I just got:

Sony Ericsson W810i for FREE
500 Cross Network Anytime Minutes
500 Texts

For just £20 per month and one month rollover on any unused minutes and texts.

I'd hold out Cheshire Boy, they CAN give you it for free so it's worth being patient and if they give you an offer you don't like just say you'll think about it...leave it a while...then ring back and speak to another advisor. Different advisors will offer different deals. I rang three times, each time being offered several alternative tariffs before I got this deal....and the first deal was a total joke!

LAst week i negotiated a deal of £15 for 200 xnet mins and £500 text.

but had to pay 69.99 for the k800i.

i have today sent the phone back cos i didnt like it.

instead i want the d900, you recon i could get the d900 cheaper than 69.99 ??

O2 are hores!

I rang them trying to get on contract and they hung up on me! I wasnt pissing about or anything, in the end I went to virgin tho gave me:

free k750i
300 free texts
200 any time any net min

all for £60 for the year using cash back, I also then got a further 36.50 back using quidco which may turn out to be £109 lol

im now trying to move a o2 number over, but so far they aint letting me as it hasnt had £10 put on it!

I was with them for like 5 years and signed them up about 50 customers and this is how they treat me!

wankers

Hello! I am new to this forum, but have a question!

I am currently on an 02 contract, (ending in around 3/4 months i think) and am desperate to cancel. I keep going over on my text allowance ( I get 500 msgs free and 100 anytime minutes to any network for £25) Using around 700 msgs a month. Also the phone i got at the start of the contract is damaged and is unusable, so even if they offered me more allowances im not sure i would want it. I am a student and am finding this very expensive at the moment!

I have found a student contract on orange which is ideal, as it allows 1000 messages free and 100 minutes and it comes with a free phone that i would like!

Would o2 charge me to leave them? Are orange able to pay for this if i tell them i want to move to them?

I really would like to move to orange as well as i have heard the service is a lot better.

Be grateful for any advice!! Thank you
Jess!

O2 will need you to pay upfront for any line rental upto your your contract terms. I really doubt Orange will want to pay for this.
