Hey Massuer,
Same here I used to get to Aus about twice a year but havent been back for a good year and a half. Where abouts are you based? Im in London and a bit sick of the unfriendliness of it all. Made some great friends here but it always amazes me how english people are only friendly when they are drunk! Well a generalisation (sorry guys) but in most cases! I guess its just London. I really should go see other parts of england but Im always drawn to Scandanavia and Italy!

Anyway back to work!

based down near Gatwick with my wife and kids because I fly back and forth to Frankfurt every week for work and its a very convenient airport and quick to get through

you're not one of the Earls Court mob who visit the church are you?

I love Scandinavia and actually worked in Stockholm for 6 months about 5 years ago now and we've been to Copenhagen to the Tivoli Christmas markets nearly every year we've been in Europe. Don't really like Italy unfortunately

its been a while since I spent much time in London so can't comment about your observation... actually the sooner we can get back to Oz the better. Planning that in 18 months now when my eldest finishes his GCSE as we can't muck him about too much

there are some great areas of England. If you like walking get down to Dorset coast or up to the lake district or wales. Norfolk is pretty good if you like boating type stuff and everyone must visit Scotland too IMHO

Yo, greetings to all aussies, happy new year to you all. ;-) good to see that we have our own thread, too many northern hemisphere members on this forum, we need to make our presence felt! @masseur, had no idea that you are an aussie, good stuff! Seems that through you we do indeed have some influence on esato. Good work! :-) This message was posted from a Z600

@masseur, its cold here in tassie! Not sure whats happened to summer, uv probably got better weather where you are. Quiet here, just had 'taste of Tasmania', if you have not been back to oz recently its food, drink, arts etc festival down at Salamanka. Sydney to Hobart finished few days ago, many boats trashed, bad weather. Any way, all is good here, and welcome back to oz when you arrive. This message was posted from a Z600

What, not looking forward to coming back to your home land? Or, it seems that you travel abit, is it just another outing for you. I think You mentioned that you have not seen your pare's for a while, not looking forward to that? Or am i confusing you with someone else? Blah. By the way, your a lucky devil to be able to fly around this beautiful country known as australia. Just hope the fire bugs stay away this year. Bastards! This message was posted from a Z600

I agree Italy is a bit weird due to the nature of italians doing things in every impossible way. Im italian but raised in Australia so I love going to see the homeland and visit the galleries. Im a designer and painter therefore Italy is a great source of inspiration. AND I love my food!!

The Tivoli gardens are magical. I was there 2 weeks ago actually, very cold but brilliant. Like a fairytale wonderland full of hot scandanavians. Two of my best friends live there so I guess Ive been about 40 times since being here!! And Amsterdam is very cool, I worked there for 6 months.

No Im not part of the Earl's court mob. In fact I dont know any aussies here which maybe is a bit strange. Apart from a few I work with that is. But none in my circle of friends. Anyone else from aus living in London or Europe?
