were they in Miami?
It;s happened to me as well a few years ago. No matter what you do. NEVER rent a car from ALAMO CAR RENTAL at miami airport.

Your parents need to contact their credit card company and have the cards blocked immediately. they need to fill out detailed forms on what charges are NOT theirs and if they're having a good cc company like I did, they'll have their money reimbursed before the end of the month.
