Really sad to hear from you guys, personally looking forward this Christmas for the Arc but I might considered it again, because never reconsidered on their material policy.

Updating the poll at HTCMANIA:

8 people with a black/blue ARC with the crack at the same spot

19 people with a black/blue ARC without the crack

5 people with a silver ARC without the crack

It seems that not everyone is having this problem and that the silver ARC doesn't suffer it at all.

UNFORTUNATELY I confirm Arc has one fckn bug, I don't know what causes that.

It RESETS it's date (always to 26th June) and time. Randomly, every week or so. What a cr..p.

after you set the date & time , switch the : Automatic(use network-provided values) on and leave it on don't switch it off.
it should solve your issue .

But I DON'T want it on. I want the time I set not automatic.

I would like to know if it's the bug or some apps cause this.

@doministry If it's a bug, I've not seen it in person. I think it's also unlikely but not impossible that it's an app. I'd be tempted to try a factory reset and don't install anything, then add apps one by one until you find the root of the issue. It may well just need a factory reset but installing the apps one by one ill allow you to eliminate those from your investigation also.

Thanks. I will definitely not do a hardreset, I don't really see a reason to make myself such a problem. I thought anyone found a reason or pattern since some other users reported this also.

@Bonovox

I have a silver Arc and on close examination I can see a really, really thin line going between the sensor and the edge of the phone. However it does not continue on where the edge bevels. As it is now I don't know if this is a crack in the casing... I'll guess I'll keep an eye on it from now on.

What you see on your phone is a molding issue. It is a nit line from the molding because the cut out for the sensor is molded in and there is a small core in the mold. The plastic has to flow around the core and where it meets up it leaves a nit line. That could affect every phone that is out there if the same molding process was used on all of the front covers. Sad but true.
