Cool. Just hoping they didn't make the camera worse.

It probably looks like Z1 now, the current Z's UI.
The only thing which is utterly idiotic in the new Android is the calculator.
It was a pretty and quite functional device, now it looks like a tool for idiots,
and looks bad.

I have no idea how these designers think sometimes.

Still waiting for the update here. Three branded, so I'm not expecting it anytime soon. Worth waiting for if reports are to go by.

I love the 4.3 update, but has the battery turned far worse, or is it just me?

Battery seems fine to me. About the same as before the update as far as I can tell.

Camera UI is completely changed for the better. It is now more aligned with proper digital cameras and is much tidier. Best update so far for the Z I think.

Just got the update for the Tablet Z and now we're matching again.

On 4.3 Android OS or Android System keeps spazing out on me after a few hours and my phone drains battery like nothing when in standby, this is with Stamina enabled. My battery would be at 50% then after a few hours of sitting on my table doing nothing it gives me the 14% battery warning sound.
It has happened twice.

That's why I asked. Because I read reports on xda saying some stupid wakelock bug is back.

Android OS wakelocks are definitely back. It's proudly taking up the number 1 spot on the battery usage list.
check it:

Every single time since I upgraded I get absurd drain when the phone is doing absolutely nothing.
Note in my picture the Battery went from 70% then suddenly goes down to 30% doing nothing(at 5pm it was at 70% and 3 hours later at 8pm it's down to 30 - sitting on my desk at home so wifi should have been enabled).

Looking at the graph it seems to drain when wifi is off... maybe that location based wifi is acting up? Might test it out without location based wifi enabled.
