You're right, Arez, a good photographer could work any camera to its technical limits and come up with interesting photos with good composition. On the more practical side, however, the K700i's camera's shortcomings sometimes become very pronounced. For example, i once had to shoot a small bar code. Since K700i has no macro mode, i had to enlarge the code via a photocopier before shooting it. K750i might've made the process easier. :-) This message was posted from a K700i

@chilli

That's the sort of techniqe a 'good photographer' would use!
A few years ago I saw a TV show where they showed how Photographers shoot the food for Cook books. Ice cream / yoghurt / condiments melt under the intense heat of the lighting so they mix in plaster. To put the shine on vegetables they use varnish. The food looks great but in most cases it's inedible. A good photgrapher makes a time consuming, well composed photo look easy.

You're obviously showing some talent.

Hey, this thread's still alive after all, ha ha....

@carkitter -- Interesting story about how they shoot food photos! Very painstaking I say. Well you'll be appalled at how sloppily I "prepared" those b&w pics of mine. They're just accidents!

Here's another one -- for my fellow SF fanatics:

"Empty benches at Arthur Clarke Intergalactic Spaceport, Mars, August 2070"

@chilli

Wow! The future is black and white! I thought that was just the past.
I once joked to my son about Life being B&W in the past ala Pleasantville, and he believed me for ages! It seemed so plausible to him, he wouldn't believe me when I told him the truth!
