so on monday, the 8th, i went there and collected my phone. I checked the firmware and it was indeed updated!
now my phone's back to normal.
One new feature that i found in it was that you have the option of selecting your calls with an sms. B4, the only way you could hat done this was through another app, now its built in.
Also got a 1gb mmc for rs1800 with bill. At nokia care, the may available size was 128mb priced at 1000 bucks! You could get a 512 mb for that.
Btw i need to get a spare battery. Anybody know of a stand alone battery charger for nokia?i(we) say one at sony,garuda mall during the meet, for se's.
And some things to note about nokia:
even b4 they accept your phone for repair, you have to sign an agreement to get the user damage repaired there or pay rs150
as examination charges or something, including unauthorized opening
nokia is not ready to accept its fault-its policy is to first blame it on the customer. In my case, the problem description included "blank display,scratches on window" now whats a scratch gotta do with the booting up of a phone? And there answer to a guy's water bathed 3230? Nothing can be done!
Now thats ridiculous as i know for a fact that my cousin had dropped a 3310 into water and milk(his father owns a diary lol) and i managed to switch it on and it was working ok. Nokia tries to rip customer off in broad daylight. They dont listen to their customers view of the prob.
Nokia flashes a phone only as a last resort, if all else fails, when it should be the first thing they ought to have done in my case.

I've been using the t310 since 2004, I've never taken it to the service center, and it still has the original firmware without the calendar, and it's still running albeit a bit slow.
I'll be watching Rashoman today.
