According to Sachin Rai, Deputy General Manager, Sales & Marketing (Mobile Division) of Sony India:
- Sony sold 2 million smartphones in India last year, and plans to double that this year.
- Sony will come out with 30 phone models this year.
Does this sound crazy or what?
30 models does indeed sound crazy but when you consider all the variants maybe not as much.

So... since things are kinda dead here right now, anyone care to summarize any reliable or sensible leaks we've heard on the upcoming devices?
I know an 8" tablet has been discussed, and there was talk about the next flagship not conforming to the omni-balance design, but is there anything else?

Thanks for the updates.
1. i'm not really surprised as s805 is highend sd so manufacturers have to use it at least for second half.
2. i would never expect green and brown, pretty cool.
3. 96kHz/24bit , like the g2 has i suppose, very nice nonetheless.
4. criticism of sharp corners getting a treat.
5. no more big bezel criticism. amazing.
6. very good, generally the weak link of z2 camera is superior auto.
sony listens.

Xperia A2 announced in Japan....looks like a metal back like the leaks of the purple metal back plate we saw a while back. Can anyone confirm this? Lime looks better than the new colours in my opinion.
